This is a free online service for all persons of interest (The Public) not limited to property owners, attorneys, investors, lenders, or title companies seeking to obtain Payoff information for any property address Jefferson County bills for sewer services.  This site serves as a request for a statement (Payoff Letter) of outstanding Sewer Charges, Late Fees, Penalties and Interest (as applicable) associated with the property. The Payoff Letter consist of inquiring by Parcel ID # for Currents, Delinquents, and Liens for a particular property.  Payoffs yielding a zero balance for the Current, Delinquent, and Lien accounts can be provided a letter and the fee associated with the letter can be paid through this site.  For additional helpful information, please visit Environmental Service website.
To execute a Payoff Letter the following must be completed:

1. Verify Tax Assessor information (i.e. Parcel ID and Address)
2. Enter PID (Parcel ID)
3. Click Lien, Delinquent, and Current buttons separately.
4. Verifies record searched.
5. Record needs to be searched.
6. Click the [Submit Payment] button to pay for the Payoff request.
7. Once Payment is paid, to generate the Payoff Letter.
8. Click to [Open] or [Save As] at the bottom page.  At this point you can print the Payoff Letter.

The following circumstances cannot be completed on this site and a Payoff Letter Request would need to be faxed to the Sewer Billing office at (205) 325-5928:

1. Current, Delinquent and Lien accounts with balances - Only if the Parcel ID searched yields a zero can the payoff letter be generated from this site.
2. Bankruptcy - These charges are not included in the total due and must be added to the Payoff Letter to pay the account in full.
3. Collections - Court costs are not included in the total due and must be added to the Payoff Letter to pay the account in full.
4. Rental Property - If you are an individual property owner or any other party claiming an ownership interest on a Rental Property and need to request a Compliance Letter based on Constitution Amendment Act 818.

Note: All requests submitted by fax may be subject to the Payoff Processing Fee, Compliance Letter and/or Satisfaction Fee.  The Payoff Letter is ONLY VALID for 30 days.
